Google Maps Street View: Man looks very strange in bizarre photo – what is he holding?

Google Maps Street View has captured a man in an incredibly bizarre shot in the city of Athens, Greece. He can be seen walking along a large paved area alongside numerous others. The man is wearing jeans, trainers and a grey polo neck T-shirt – so far, so normal. However, in his left arm, at first glance, he appears to be holding a small child in a blue T-shirt.

But if viewers look more closely there is something very strange indeed about the shot.

The baby seems to have the hair growth of a middle-aged man – greying with a bald patch.

What’s more, the man in grey appears to almost be headless – only the back of his head is visible and becomes transparent at the front.

So is there more happening here that at first it seems? Clearly, something has gone wrong with the Google cameras to cause a serious technological glitch.

In fact, there are two men in the photo – one walking in front of the other but the positioning of the first man’s arm has cause confusion.

The photography splicing has caused the problem due to the way the images form.

When taking the photo, the 360-degree cameras shoot multiple pictures to create the seamless image.

However, moving objects often ruin the scene as they shift when the photos are taken.

It is most likely the men moved when the images were taken, resulting in the strange photo.

This is far from the first time a technological error has caused bizarre sights.

Such images are not always funny – they can also be rather alarming as one photo from California proves.

Google Maps Street View also captured a horrifying image taken near the Hollywood sign.

The disturbing photo appears to show the head of a woman hanging from a pole flying the American flag.

The seemingly decapitated head faces toward the ground with a ponytail hanging downwards.

The black pole, with what looks like a shred of the white and red flag, appears to be skewered into the back of her neck.

However, the image is, just as with the man in Athens, the result of a technological error, and the woman was bending down as the images were taken.

On another occasion, a glitch made it look like a man had a muzzle and had a face which was covered in white hair.
