Google Maps Street View hides THIS baffling sight that has viewers divided

Google Maps Street View has unearthed some questionably images in the years since the service began.

One image captured in Japan has its viewers divided.

Some found the sight creepy while some thought it was hilarious, and others found it downright bizarre.

The image was captured at Mitaka Station in Musashino, Tokyo.

Street View cameras showed a sidewalk, flanked by a road on one side and shrubbery on the other.

A group of people were walking down the path towards the camera.

Those in front had their heads bowed as they trekked along the walkway.

But those in the background were drawing a lot more attention to themselves.

The group had separated themselves into two lines on either side of the sidewalk.

They were each wearing large blue pigeon masks on their heads, making them resemble human birds.

The strange addition has ensured the image has gone viral since it was discovered online.

Some viewers thought the image was frightening, with one Reddit user saying: “Creepy as hell!”

Another said: “My worst nightmares have now come true. I’m going to go hide in the corner for the rest of the day.”
