NICK Kyrgios’ match against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is the hottest ticket in town tonight and the blockbuster clash has brought hollywood star Will Smith to Rod Laver Arena.
After Will Ferrell took in the first four days of the Open, Smith is the superstar courtside for tonight’s third round clash.
“I have seen quite a few matches but this is the first time at the Open, first time in Australia and this is my first slam,” the Men In Black actor said.
And he’s already liking what he’s seeing from Aussie Kyrgios.
PLAYER SAFETY: ‘I felt like I was in an oven’
“He has this little bow on his wrist, I love it, it looks like a power thing,” he told Channel 7.
“I don’t know a lot about tennis but watching him I was like man, I think I might have to take this up a little bit.”
Smith was spotted under Rod Laver Arena before this match catching up with Frenchman Tsonga, so he might have a foot in both camps tonight.
“A really great guy, really sweet,” he said of Tsonga.
“I love his energy. I am happy to be here watching these guys play.”
The star, who is sitting courtside, is also a huge Rafael Nadal fan but with the world No.1 playing on Margaret Court Arena and already making light work of No.28 seed Damir Džumhur, Smith wants to stay at Rod Laver for Kyrgios and Tsonga.
“I was going to come and check out Rafa,” he said.
“I watched him play in Spain so I have been following him ever since.
“I hear he is having a good night over there (on Margaret Court), so we are just going to chill here.”
Smith also revealed a Bad Boys four might be in the works.
“There is some truth in that rumour,” he said.. “It is not official yet but definitely something could be happening in the next four months.”
