Eddie Betts doubles down on twins

STAR footballer Eddie Betts will be more than half way to creating a family forward line after he announced on social media that he and his wife Anna are expecting twins.

Betts, 30, announced the news on Instagram, posting a picture of a sonogram to his almost 100,000 followers.

The post quickly gathered thousands of likes and comments of congratulations.

Betts announced that the twins are expected in April 2018 but added he and his partner did not know the gender of the pair.

“Look out for 4 little Betts kids taking over the crows change rooms in the next few years,” the star Adelaide Crows player wrote.

The new additions to the Betts household will join his two sons Lewis, 5, and Billy, 2, and wife Anna Scullie.

The pair married in a surprise ceremony in August 2015 after many years together.

What was originally planned as 30th birthday celebration for Ms Scullie turned into the surprise wedding ceremony in front of 100 close friends and family.

Since his arrival from Carlton at the end of the 2013 AFL season, Betts has become a crowd favourite and an impact player for the Adelaide Crows.

The North Eastern pocket of the field at Adelaide Oval has been unofficially named the “Eddie Betts Pocket” after a series of sensational trick shots from the same spot.
