Last night, he scored in a 2-1 qualifier win away to Macedonia, and then ended chances of a transfer to China after the match.
“I rule out China, I have to think about my future,” Diego Costa said.
“I have to think about the World Cup.
“If I fight and I do things well I’ll have every chance of going to the World Cup. I cannot go to China.”
Costa’s openness over his position at Chelsea is likely to lose the club millions with his value subsequently dropping.
In the meantime, Conte is looking for a replacement and continuing with his pursuit of Everton hitman Romelu Lukaku.
