The 22-year-old midfielder joined the youth ranks at Chelsea at the age of 10 but has so far struggled to break into first team.
He’s managed just 13 senior appearances for the Blues and has been sent out on loan six times since 2012.
But Chalobah insists he treated every loan spell as a way to further his Chelsea career and has never considered a permanent move.
The England Under-21 international told The Sun: “Some loans were good, some loans were bad, some were up and down.
“As a player, you can sometimes get caught up in everything and think negative things.
“I always stayed positive and had the opportunity to come back and play during the club’s pre-season campaigns.
“I didn’t contemplate leaving.
“I always thought every year that here’s a chance to play in pre-season and show the best I can and stay at the club.”
