Cheap flights 2017: Monarch SLASHES fares to Rome to just £29 one way

Rome is a cosmopolitan city which attracts hundreds of British holidaymakers every year.

The Italian capital is well-known for its art, architecture and culture.

From the famous Colosseum to Vatican city, Rome is littered with history that travellers can explore.

And if you’re after a city break with guaranteed sun this summer, flying to this iconic city just got cheaper.

Low-cost airline Monarch is offering flights from as little as £29 one way.

All flights depart from Luton, Birmingham or Leeds Bradford Airport.

And return flights can be found from just £21.

The price is for the flight only – additional fees will apply if you want to check your luggage into the hold.

These bargain prices are only available for a few more days.

The offer will end at midday on Thursday March 2.

If Rome is not the city for you this summer, heading to New York has also become better value with Norwegian Air.

The budget airline has launched a series of groundbreaking new transatlantic flights from five cities in the UK and Ireland from just £69 one way.

Norwegian will launch 10 new routes with 38 new weekly transatlantic flights this summer from Edinburgh, Belfast, Cork, Shannon and Dublin.

The new transatlantic routes will be operated on brand new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

Norwegian has been voted the Best Low-Cost Long-Haul Airline for two consecutive years at the renowned SkyTrax Awards, and Europe’s Best Low-Cost Airline for four consecutive years.

Double-daily transatlantic flights will take-off from Edinburgh from £69.
