The midfielder has struggled to cement his place in the starting line up since arriving from Bayern Munich.
Vidal has mainly been used as a late substitute.
Ernesto Valverde has faced lots of criticism from supporters for his selections and choice of substitutions.
Now the Chilean has taken a swipe at his boss after joining up with his country for international duty.
“How am I going to be happy if I don’t play, and me of all people,” Vidal complained to reporters.
“I am someone that has always fought, that has been in the best teams in the world, that has won everything and who wants to continue winning at Barcelona.”
Barcelona are in very poor form in La Liga, having not won in four matches.
Lionel Messi’s long range effort helped earn the Catalans a draw at the Mestalla.
Vidal was an unused substitute in the match and he posted a controversial message on Instagram which appeared to express his anger.
The caption translates to: “You don’t need to fight with Judases, they end up hanging themselves.”
The player has not yet commented on the social media message.
Vidal has made only two league starts this season, making four appearances from the bench.
“I am fine physically and happy. In the past few games I have been a little irritated but that’s how it is, we will keep battling, there are a lot of important games ahead and we will see,” Vidal added.
“Sometimes you have other problems and you unload on social media,” he said after deleting the post “so people don’t speculate.”
Valverde has also faced scrutiny for his treatment of Malcom who continues to be left out of the squad.
Barca had thought they had turned the corner after a 4-2 win against Tottenham at Wembley.
They were still unable to record a win in La Liga upon return to league action and now Valverde faces a fight to keep his job.
