Arsenal face Championship side Norwich in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup tonight (7.45pm), with a place in the quarter-finals the prize for the victor.
Arsene Wenger’s side are also top of their Europa League group with a 100 per-cent record.
A convincing 5-2 win against Everton on Sunday, which ultimately cost Ronald Koeman his job, catapulted Arsenal up to fifth in the table – level on points with defending champions Chelsea.
However, Arsenal came under heavy scrutiny after their defeat to Watford the previous weekend.
But Bellerin thinks the negativity is unjustified.
“I think it always is with Arsenal,” Bellerin told Evening Standard when asked if there had been an over-reaction to recent performances.
“It doesn’t matter how we do, if we win it is always the other team’s fault and when we lose it is always our fault.
“We have just got to deal with it as we have been doing, play our game and show that we have got the potential, that we can win games like this one.
“I think everyone has seen that.”
It is unclear if Bellerin will play any part in the clash with Norwich this evening.
Manager Arsene Wenger has already revealed that he will play a youthful side in the competition.
However, Bellerin could return when the Gunners face Swansea in the Premier League on Saturday.
