The Gunners failed to register a shot on target as they were hammered 4-0 by the Reds this afternoon.
Defeat ensures they’ve now lost two of their three Premier League games this season.
Some travelling fans sang “we want Wenger out” during the second half at Anfield – despite the long-serving boss only agreeing a new two-year deal in the summer.
Celebrity Arsenal fan Piers Morgan then led a Twitter rebellion against the Emirates boss.
He wrote: “Worst Arsenal team & performance I’ve ever had the misery to endure. #WengerOUT.” The message was retweeted thousands of times within minutes of it being posted.
Other fans joined Morgan in calling for Wenger to go.
One wrote: “Lets just forget about this season and focus on selling those dead players, winning Europa and managing not to get relegated #WengerOut.”
Another said: “#arsenal is so f**ked up watching their matches is considered as a waste of time for me nowadays #wengerout.”
A fellow Gooner said: “Have finally defected to Wenger out brigade and seen the light. He is broken.”
While another added: “I always trusted and respected AW but he need to go. #WengerOut.”
