Melissa Bishop captured her fourth national 800-metre title Saturday and officially booked her spot in the world championships.
The world silver medallist from Eganville, Ont., ran two minutes 0.26 seconds for an easy victory at the Canadian track and field championships.

Brandon McBride of Windsor, Ont., won the men’s race in 1:45.23, booking his ticket to next month’s worlds in London.

Aaron Brown was the fastest qualifier in the 200-metre semifinals earlier Saturday.
The 25-year-old from Brampton, Ont., who was disqualified for a false start in the 100 semis the previous night, crossed in 20.31 seconds.
Three-time Olympic medallist Andre De Grasse coasted to an easy 20.44 to win his semifinal.
Brendon Rodney of Brampton, Ont., won his semi in 20.45.
De Grasse, a 22-year-old from Markham, Ont., won his third consecutive national 100 title Friday, in 10.11 seconds. He’s keen to claim the 200-metre title after losing to Rodney last year in Edmonton.
Crystal Emmanuel of Toronto, who won Friday night’s women’s 100 title, had the fastest 200 time of 22.99 seconds in the semifinal round.
The 200 finals are Sunday.
