MANCHESTER UNITED TRANSFER NEWS LIVE
Wednesday June 7
02:25: Some Real Madrid players are reportedly against the idea of signing Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.
Florentino Perez wants to finally secure a move for the Spaniard, however, there is some opposition at the Bernabeu.
According to Spanish outlet Diario Gol, certain Madrid stars would rather see Zinedine Zidane keep faith with Keylor Navas.
The current No1 could yet be replaced, but he did play a key role in winning the La Liga and Champions League double.
Captain Sergio Ramos is apparently leading calls for Navas to stay, meaning United may well hold on to De Gea.
02:00: Marouane Fellaini is reportedly edging closer to leaving Manchester United.
Turkish outfit Trabzonspor are pursuing a move for the midfielder.
And they are apparently confident of sealing a lucrative deal for Fellaini with a marquee signing sought after.
Fotomac claim the 29-year-old is an admirer of Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and this could help push through a transfer.
Negotiations are said to be progressing with Fellaini’s family keen on the switch.
However, Jose Mourinho is not desperate to offload the United man and may yet offer him a new deal to stay.
01:30: Manchester United have reportedly had a bid rejected by Real Madrid for striker Alvaro Morata.
Jose Mourinho wants to add firepower to his side this summer and has turned attention to other targets with a move for Antoine Griezmann now off.
Sky Italia claim United have made an offer worth £52.4m for Morata, which did not include David De Gea as part of the deal.
However, Madrid have turned the Red Devils down, with the Champions League winners demanding £78.6m instead.
Despite Morata not being a regular starter in Zinedine Zidane’s team, Madrid are holding firm on their valuation.
It is also suggested should United ultimately fail to land the Spain international, attentions will turn to Torino star Andrea Belotti, who has an £87.4m buy-out clause in his contract.
