Steve Kerr makes Boston Celtics, LeBron James claims after record Warriors win

The Warriors defeated the Celtics 115-111 on Saturday night.

In doing so, they extended their win streak to ten games, as they extend their lead at the top of the NBA Western Conference.

More personally for Kerr, it was his 300th win as a coach in just his 377th game. He reached the landmark quicker than any NBA, NFL or MLB coach in history.

However, they were made to work for the win, after the Celtics took it down to the final 30 seconds of the game.

The lead changed hands continuously throughout, as Kyrie Irving dropped 32 points for Boston.

Some have predicted that Saturday night’s game was a dress rehearsal for the NBA Finals series, and Kerr refused to rule that out.

Speaking after the game, he explained that the Celtics are still a team to be feared.

“They’re not far at all,” Kerr said when asked how far away the Celtics are from being a championship contender.

“They’re one of the best teams in the league.

“They’re great defensively, and they’ve got dynamic offensive players.

“Already they’re one of the best.”

Kerr also hinted that it will be easier for teams in the Eastern Conference to make it through to the NBA Finals, now that LeBron James has moved over to the West.

However, he remained grounded by claiming that the NBA is as strong as it has been in some time.

“It’ll be interesting to see this year who comes out of the East, with LeBron out of the East,” he continued.

“We’ve got some work to do before we get out of the West this year, there’s a lot of great teams.

“The league is better this year than it’s been in a long time.

“Boston is clearly a great two-way team and that’s what it takes in the playoffs.”
