With little over three weeks left of the transfer window, Liverpool are still looking to bolster their options.
Nabil Fekir remains a target, despite a deal collapsing due to concerns over his medical.
But one area Liverpool could still look to improve is in goal with Loris Karius on thin ice.
The German goalkeeper made two catastrophic errors in the Champions League final against Real Madrid leaving many Liverpool fans questioning whether he should be the club’s No 1 choice for the future.
Liverpool have been linked with Alisson for several months now, but it was believed Jurgen Klopp was ready to give Karius another chance with Danny Ward also touted as being promoted to the senior team more often.
However, the Reds will now reportedly be focussing their efforts on pursuing a deal for Alisson.
That’s according to Sky Sport Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio, who claims Alisson’s agent, Ze Maria Neis, is poised to present an offer for Roma to weigh up when he visits their Trigoria training ground today.
And Neis may have dropped a hint suggesting the player wants to join Klopp’s side after ‘liking’ an Instagram post of Alisson photoshopped into a Liverpool shirt.
The post’s caption linked to Di Marzio’s story suggesting a Premier League club – Liverpool or Chelsea – are expected to make a bid for Alisson today.
And Liverpool fans clearly believe Alisson’s agent liking the post is a sign the deal will be done.
One fan said: “Alissons agent liked this. It’s confirmed.”
While another wrote: “welcome to liverpool.”
A third posted: “his agent is a legend.”
