In a match fitting enough to be the final, only one man can progress to try and don Roger Federer’s crown following the Swiss star’s shock quarter-final exit.
Nadal is in his first Wimbledon semi-final in seven years and he is hoping to end an eight-year drought at the All England Club.
Meanwhile, Djokovic can finally put his injury nightmares behind him by showing the world he is back to his best.
And Nadal knows he will be in for an extremely tough afternoon.
“It’s always is a big challenge face Novak,” Nadal said.
“It’s one of the more complex players that I ever saw on our sport. It’s always a big test.
“You know that you can’t win against him if you don’t play very well.
“But my goal is to try to play very well. I know in semi-finals of Wimbledon you will not have an easy opponent in front. You have to accept that if you want to win important things.
“Of course, you will face the best players. You need to be ready for it.”
