Xbox Live has been reported down by many players tonight, starting at around 11pm UK time.
Microsoft has confirmed that issues are affecting their core services, telling fans: “We are aware that some members may be having problems purchasing content.
“We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and we will be sure to provide you with frequent updates.”
The problem is listed as affecting Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows 10.
Affected services include: Signing into Xbox Live, Browsing the Xbox Games Store, Buying downloadable items, Downloading items that you have already purchased.
There’s currently no ETA on when these new problems will be fixed, or what might be causing them.
From the reports coming in from Xbox users, it appears that many in North America and the UK are unable to play games online or use other core services.
This problem will be much worse for those who share their Xbox Games Library with others. This is due to the console needing to be online at all times, meaning you won’t be able to play titles, even when you’re in offline mode.
One fan confirmed: “XBL down here in Indiana as well. Can’t believe it’s worldwide and lasting so long. Wonder what happened.”
While another added: “Won’t let me appear online, plus, everything keeps trying to sync but fails.
“I tried it with everything. Overwatch, Youtube, Warframe but none of it can sync properly.”
