X Factor 2017: Simon Cowell replacement REVEALED? ITV bosses 'in huge panic'

Will Simon Cowell be on X Factor tomorrow night?

Although Simon, 58, was pictured returning home after being hurried to hospital in an ambulance earlier today, there is no confirmation from ITV yet as to whether or not he will be well enough to return to filming in time for the first live show tomorrow.

Simon managed to raise a smile upon his return home, but an X Factor insider has since told the MailOnline: “ITV are in a huge panic as it’s the live shows.

“There’s been no decision made yet about whether Simon will appear for filming,” the source added, claiming that the star is determined to go ahead with the show despite being in pain from the accident.

“It’s bad but he’s okay,” they said. “It’s not a serious injury.”

Will Cheryl replace Simon Cowell on the X Factor judging panel?

According to the insider, Simon is not keen on anyone replacing him on the show.

“He won’t want anyone else taking his place on the panel,” they insisted.

Meetings with ITV bosses are thought to be occurring in a bid to figure out the best way to ensure that the huge show goes ahead.

Regardless, fans have been speculating that Cheryl will be filling his seat tomorrow.

“I hope that @CherylOfficial will cover for Simon Cowell this weekend on #XFactor,” wrote one fan, which was followed by: “Hope Cheryl takes over Simon’s slot on Saturday’s live shows #XFactor2017 [sic].”

He appeared to be in high spirits when he was spotted arriving back at his house, giving waiting photographers a thumbs up.

The positive signal could be a sign that he expects to be well enough to return to X Factor judging duties tomorrow night.
