X Factor 2017: Nicole Scherzinger BLASTED for 'horrible' reveal – ‘That's out of order!’

Plasterer Matt Linnen had just performed Everybody’s Free by Rozalla when the judge came to make her decision on whether to take him through as a finalist in the Overs category.

However, Nicole played up the usual ITV drama and gave Matt the impression that he would be going home.

Nicole said: “I think you have a really great tone to your voice. I liked your song choice. I liked that you took the risk and came without the guitar.

“However, your voice and your body are still awkward and I think there’s a lot more work to be done there. So I’ve made my decision…”

Sniffing as though she was on the verge of tears, Nicole looked down to the floor to tease Matt.

Sighing, she continued: “I’m going to take you though to live shows.”

Shocked, Matt gasped: “Oh shut up! That was out of order! Oh my god.”

Nicole giggled and added: “If you’re willing to put in the work, I think you have a lot of potential and can grow and be really great on this show.”

Matt replied: “Wicked. I appreciate what you’re saying. I’m up for work.”

Host Dermot O’Leary then hugged the cheerful finalist and said: “That was mean, wasn’t it?”

Matt added: “That was horrible! I’m up for it man. I’m up for the challenge.”

continues tomorrow on at 7pm.
