A second said on Twitter: “Bring your own children up how you like. However, don’t then moan when they act or conduct themselves in ways you don’t agree with when they are older because that was ultimately the way you taught them.”
While a third pointed out: “Both have good points. Think about what adult you want to create then work towards that.
“Don’t complain they don’t have value for money or can’t save when you gave them everything they wanted when they were kids! Don’t try and be their best friend, be their parents!”
