Women who prefer THIS alcoholic drink have a higher sex drive – according to scientists

Women who choose red from the wine list have more desire for sex than those who opt for white or even a cocktail, according to experts.

A scientific study found women who opted for a full bodied red had higher sex drives, overall.

The research, titled “Regular moderate intake of red wine is linked to a better women’s sexual health” also found women who drank red wine scored higher in sexual function and lubrication.

They team at Santa Maria Annunziata Hospital, University of Florence, asked 798 women aged 18 to 50 to take part in the survey.

They researchers wrote: “The aim of our study was to assess whether there is a tie between daily red wine intake and sexual function in a sample of healthy Italian women, living in the Chianti area (Tuscany) not complaining of any sexual disorders.”

Participants were divided into three groups.

One had a moderate daily red wine intake of one or two glasses a day.

Another were teetotallers while the third group drank more than two glasses of red wine and/or other types of alcoholic drinks including tie wine per day or were only occasional drinkers.

They discovered the first group had higher scores for “both sexual desire, lubrication, and overall sexual function as compared to the teetotaller status”.

They concluded the study “suggests a potential relationship between red wine consumption and better sexuality.”

A recent study found that mature Britons should be having sex regularly to help with a vital part of their health.

A study of over 50s has found that regular sex can help keep the mental faculties ticking over in older generations.

Frequent sexual activity can improve brain function in older adults, according to research from the Universities of Coventry and Oxford.

What is an orgasm? The intense sensation experienced during sex is the holy grail for most lovers – but it can come with some very unusual side effects, including sounds, pain, and even tears.

Now scientists claim this is, in fact, a rare phenomenon.

However, one study claims it “confirms the existence of diverse and frequently replicated peri-orgasmic phenomena.”
