When it comes to having a puppy, there are lots of to-dos that are probably on your list. First, of course, is picking out the puppy that you want, be it a rescue or a dog from a reputable breeder. The next thing is one of the most exciting — a name! Then there are supplies to buy and food to figure out. There’s also training to make sure that your puppy grows from an excitable, adorable newborn to a mature, engaging, well-behaved adult dog.
But there are also more worrisome things to consider when it comes to puppies, including when they get ill or pick up things that are less than desirable. One of the latter? Fleas, of course.
