WATCH: Tom Hardy to delight mums with Valentine's Day bedtime story on CBeebies

The actor will be telling the tale of The Cloudspotter by Tom McLaughlin on the children’s TV channel tonight.

In the teasing video, Tom, wearing a red jacket, tells viewers: “Cloud spotting is definitely more enjoyable, especially if your best friend is a dog.”

After showing the cute pup, Tom then realises: “And I’ve spotted you’re not in bed yet. Get yourself tucked up and I’ll see you very soon for another Bedtime Story.”

CBeebies posted the teaser trailer on Facebook and the post has been shared almost 30,000 times.

Fans couldn’t help but notice that the story falls on Valentine’s Day, with many now claiming they have their romantic night sorted thanks to Tom.

One eager fan commented on the post: “What are you doing for valentines? Me: Tom Hardy is going to be reading me a bedtime story.”

Another joked: “Tom Hardy is telling me to get in bed, oh lord have I died and gone to heaven.”

CBeebies viewers are also thankful for the recurring bedtime stories, with one posting: “I think Mr Hardy needs to be a weekly occurrence not just saved for special occasions! For now though, thank you CBeebies. Thank you.”

Another thanked the channel for tailoring its content, saying: “I’m so grateful to CBeebies for catering for the grown up & not just the kids.”

Bedtime Stories airs every day at 6:50pm on CBeebies.
