WATCH: Terrifying moment bungee jumping woman has THIS happen to her

Bungee jumping is an extreme sport that scares even the brave.

With things that could go wrong including the rope snapping or being too long, it’s a terrifying prospect.

A viral video has shown the horrifying moment when one woman felt the true effects of the dangers of the activity.

Due to safety checks failing, the bungee jumper is seen to slam into the ground just moments after leaping from a bridge into the river below.

The poor woman, filmed in Bolivia, attempted a 50ft jump from a bridge into the river.

As she stands on the top of the bridge, a man appears to do safety checks before she makes the leap of faith.

However, as after she jumps off, the rope appears to be too long as she hits the ankle-deep water heavily.

She appears motionless in the water and appears unable to move as witnesses jumped into the river to help her.

The woman recording can be heard shouting “Is she ok? I do not think she is fine.”

Luckily, she survived without any broken bones however she later posted images of herself with teeth missing and grazes all over her face.

A witness to the event, Shyrleny Cuchallo Ribera said it wasn’t a common thing to see in the area.

“It was so sad to see a young woman in such pain. They should have taken more care with this kind of risky activity.”
