A viral video has been revealed by the police that shows two bikers nearly cause a dangerous crash on a busy motorway.
Filmed on the M6, the bikes can be seen performing wheelies on the hard shoulder, before pulling out in front of cars.
One car can be seen braking heavily as they nearly swerve into the front of it.
Despite the car keeping a distance, the bike pulls out and wobbles in front, before driving off with the other bikers.
The North West Motorway Police tweeted: “Patrol ARE aware of the report of the scrambler bikes on the Motorway.
“It really isn’t big or clever and you’re putting not only your own life at risk but that of others. #totallyselfish @MerPolTraffic attending.”
User Nicola Richardson tweeted: “Causing mayhem through Ashton!”
Another user remarked: “Their behaviour is disgusting. Have you been told to not go near them as they don’t have helmets on?”
One user even had their own experience with the dangerous drivers: “I’ve been buzzed by these idiots before and it’s not pleasant, and having one play “dare” doing a wheelie towards me on my side of the road was terrifying.”
Scrambler bikes are off-road bikes which are legally allowed to be driven on the road as long as they meet the strict standards.
This includes being registered with the DVLA, as well as wearing a helmet and having a license plate.
Without this, they are illegally driving on the road and should be reported to the police for breaking the law.
Motorcyclists are often caught on camera performing dangerous motorbike stunts and manoeuvres.
One man can be seen attempting to stand on his motorbike whilst it is driving.
He falls off, yet the motorbike continues to speed off, causing a second crash.
