WATCH: English-speaking tourist thrown into the air during Spanish bull run

The video captured a man filming while a bull ran towards him.

He was standing on top of a platform when the bull charged in his direction.

While the man appeared to be out of harm’s way, the bull squared up to him and lowered his head.

Bizarrely, the man bent down from the platform to be at the same eye level as the animal.

He tried to goad the bull by waving at it and making noises.

The bull then ran towards him and threw him as the camera went black.

In another video, the man could be seen falling from the platform as the bull leant over him.

The man was pinned to the ground and then thrown about by the huge creature.

He managed to escape at the last minute as people around also fled and screamed.

The man in the video has not been named although he was heard speaking English in the video.

The attack resulted in serious bruising and the 45-year-old was taken to a hospital.

The controversial event in Spain is often plagued with injuries as people try to outrun the bulls.

While this video was filmed in Valencia, the running of the bulls normally takes place in Pamplona.

This year, five people were injured in the famous bull run, with one man gored by the horns of the bulls on the first day.

Protests against the event take place every year by animal rights activists.

Last year, a man attempted to do the same thing to another bull during the run.

A man waved his arms about in front of the creature, using a cloth to aggravate it.

While the man is in a cage to protect him, the bull charges straight through it.

The man falls to the ground as the bull stamps on him, while moving the weak cage across the road.

While he emerged unharmed, online users were unsympathetic towards him.
