WATCH: Brazen driver cuts off cars in traffic but doesn’t expect THIS to happen NEXT

Cutting other drivers off in traffic is a surefire way to incite widespread road rage.

But one man soon regretted his choice to be selfish on the roads.

Footage taken from the dashboard of the driver’s car, showed the vehicle speeding down a highway in Connecticut.

Starting off in the left lane, the car then merged into the middle lane, where it zipped past cars in the right lane.

The cars slowly built up as they waited to take an exit, which had been held up by traffic.

Rather than merging in at a safe distance, the driver decided to speed alongside the cars by staying in the middle lane.

Just as the exit loomed, the car veered right into the lane and tucked in front of a car at a near-standstill.

In doing so, he illegally cut across the lined island which formed the exit.

The driver thought he’d gotten away with his cunning plan until he saw the police car sitting just two cars in front.

All of a sudden, the door of the police car opened and a Connecticut State Trooper stepped out, angrily pointing her finger at the driver.

The officer motioned for the driver to pull over and as he does, he casually asked her: ”What’s up?”

She replied, ”You can’t cross that solid white line,” before the clip cut out.

The driving video has gone viral since it was shared online, receiving more than 280,000 views on LiveLeak.

More than 1,000 people have commented on the clip, with many sharing their mutual distaste for getting cut off in traffic.

Another driver suffered instant karma when they tried to cut off a black car on the highway

The black vehicle turned out to be an undercover police car, which lit up with sirens as soon as it was cut off – and the whole incident was captured on video.
