Vikings season six part two lands on Amazon Prime Video on December 30 and the story will pick up after the Rus battle. Prince Oleg (played by Danila Kozlovsky) had invaded Scandinavia along with Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen), and Oleg had taken his nephew Igor (Oran Glynn O’Donovan) with him. Oleg was always jealous of his nephew, who was the rightful heir to Kiev, and fans are wondering if he will ever claim his title.
Will Igor ever become King of Kiev?
Igor and Oleg joined the cast of Vikings in season six, when Ivar travelled to Kiev having been banished from Kattegat.
Ivar had seen something of himself in the young Prince Igor, and he started to become a father or brother figure to the prince.
Oleg treated his nephew terribly, as he was envious that the young boy was the rightful heir to the throne – a title he wanted for himself.
This meant Oleg acted as the Kiev leader, as Igor did not have the power to overthrow him alone.
Fans believe Ivar has a plan to overthrow Oleg in the second half of season six, which would mean Igor could take the crown.

Viewers have been following the relationship between Ivar and Igor closely, as it has marked a huge change in Ivar’s character.
The show’s creator, Michael Hirst, has suggested Ivar will redeem himself in the final episodes, and fans are curious to find out how.
He has already shown signs of redemption by taking the young Igor under his wing and protecting him from his evil uncle.
Ivar also freed Igor’s second uncle, Dir (Lenn Kudrjawizki), who was held captive by Oleg in the first episodes of the sixth season.
Dir has already offered to repay Ivar for his kindness, so fans believe he will team up with Ivar to overthrow Oleg in the final episodes.
There are still mixed opinions on Ivar’s relationship with Igor, with some people saying Ivar is using Igor’s status as future king to his advantage.
One fan pointed out how Ivar and Igor have something in common, as they are both kings without power.
Queen_of_the_night18 said: “They are captives and yet ‘guests’ of Oleg. They live under constant insecurity of Oleg’s murderous whims.”
Fans believe Ivar has made it his mission to make sure Igor is crowned king of Kiev, as he feels bad for killing his own brother, Sigurd (David Lindström).
The_Cofiffee added: “I feel like Ivar changed a little along the Silk Road. When they showed him in the different towns and countries before Kiev, he looked genuinely happy and at peace with his circumstance.

“He looked so passionate and alive for each moment in a way he’s never been shown previously. That isn’t to say he hasn’t lost his desire for revenge and reclaiming Kattegat, it just felt like he was more human.”
Fans have turned to the soundtrack for the second half of season six for answers, and they believe Igor will be the one to kill Oleg in the end.
Igor has always been scared of his uncle, so this would be a huge character change for him if he is able to find the courage to make a stand.
With Ivar at his side, Igor may learn what it means to take action against those who devalue him, or fail to believe in him.
Fans have previously seen Oleg exert his power over Igor by breaking his possessions, or belittling him with words.
Ivar has been the one to encourage him not to listen to his uncle’s opinions, so hopefully Igor will learn a lesson from him.
The show’s creator, Michael Hirst, has already suggested there will be plenty of exciting twists and turns in the final episode, so Igor’s bravery could emerge.
Fans are also wondering if Oleg’s wife Katia (Alicia Agneson) will continue to help Ivar overthrow Oleg, as she too believes Igor is the rightful king.
There is likely to be a showdown between Igor and his uncle at some stage, as fans are waiting for karma to reach Oleg before the series comes to an end.
