Fans of royal show The Crown starring Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II and Matt Smith as Prince Philip, will know that most of the cast will be changed as the fast-paced show moves on.
The Netflix series will undergo a massive overhaul after season two as it portrays the monarch’s later years.
However, Victoria viewers will be relieved to know that Jenna Coleman isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
The show’s creator Daisy Goodwin has promised the Sunday night programme has a “long way” to go yet.
“I think we’ve got quite a long way to go before we need to re-cast Jenna; we’re moving quite slowly through the 1840s,” Daisy explained at the BFI & Radio Times Festival.
She added: ”We haven’t even caught up with her real age, so I think Jenna will be on our screens for some time to come.”
The upcoming series of the successful show will be set in the 1840s and will focus on Queen Victoria’s expanding brood which will see her falling pregnant for the second time, not long after the birth of her first.
Speaking about the next instalment, Daisy previously said: “In the next series she faces the very modern dilemma of how to juggle children with her husband and her job.
“As Victoria will discover, it’s hard to be a wife, a mother and ruler of the most powerful nation on earth.”
Elsewhere, the show’s creator also teased fans at the festival about the return of the charismatic Lord Melbourne (player Rufus Sewell).
She told the audience if they want to find out what happens, they should look to history to discover if he will be making a comeback in season two.
Victoria season 2 will air on ITV later this year.
