Top ten most reliable cars REVEALED – does your vehicle make the list?

Buying a new car can be extremely exciting and daunting at the same time.

You want to make sure that whatever car you invest in will be a reliable workhouse that doesn’t spend every weekend in a garage big fixed.

An exclusive survey by Consumer Reports has revealed the vehicles which are the most reliable

The reliability factor was measured in a response to the cars that were most often reported to reach over 200,000 miles driven.

Consumer Report did however state that given the long span of years for the analysis, road-test score, reliability and other factors are subject to vary over time.

1. Toyota Camry

2. Honda Accord

3. Toyota Prius

4. Honda CR-V

5. Toyota Sienna

6. Honda Civic

7. Toyota Corolla

8. Toyota 4Runner

9. Toyota Highlander

10. Ford F-150

Toyota dominated the list with six entries in the top ten and Honda cars also faired favourable with three entries.

One thing to bear in mind is Consumer Report is an US based company, so some of these cars may not be available in the UK.

Earlier this year Auto Express revealed their list for the based on their annual driver survey.

Here are a list of the top 10 most reliable cars in the UK according to research by Driver Power:

1. Toyota RAV4

2. Skoda Yeti

3. Audi Q3

4. SEAT Leon

5. Lexus RX

6. Kia Cee’d

7. Lexus CT

8. Suzuki Vitara

9. Lexus NX

10. Volvo XC60

In 2016, there were almost 2.7million cars registered in the UK which was a new record.

This means that over 300,000 new cars could have already needed repairs and developed faults.

Shockingly a third of drivers confessed that their car had failed in the first year.
