This Morning viewers in uproar as chef SUCKS fingers during live cooking segment

The chef was showing Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby how to prepare a vegetarian feast this Christmas.

Hugh used his fingers to stuff a roasted squash with parsnip, apples, chicory and sprouts whilst showing the hosts how to cook the seasonal vegetables.

However, viewers couldn’t help but notice that afar he handled the food, he sucked his fingers to get the excess off.

Hugh, 52, didn’t appear to wash his hands before continuing to prepare more of the feast for Holly and Phil.

One viewer was outraged, and wrote on Twitter: “How can you eat after Hugh has touched that foot? Sucked his fingers and wiped his mouth then played with the sprouts.”

Another added: “Erm why has the chef just licked his fingers and then touched the food? Talk about hygiene.”

A third fumed: “Did Hugh Fearnely Whittingstall just suck his fingers then handle all the food he was prepping? #dirtychef.”

Earlier on This Morning, Holly, 36, was left gobsmacked after she thought her co-host, 55, blurted out an outrageous word.

The blonde bombshell and viewers at home felt that Phil said “c**k” instead of “clock” leaving all in hysterics.

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10.30am.
