With its gorgeous low-poly atmosphere and mysterious environments, The World Begins With You promises a unique and cryptic experience, one of forgotten ruins, simple puzzles, and lonely exploration.
Awakening within a mysterious temple, your unnamed hero sets out on their adventure, from dark corridors to cliffs to ruins and beyond and below. Gameplay-wise, World is a mix of exploration, light puzzles involving switches and navigation, and platforming, growing more involved as you reach the game’s more otherworldly locations.
The journey will only take an hour or so, and the mechanics remain simple throughout, but it’s the elegant environments that act as the highlight of The World Begins With You. Simple in their aesthetic, looming and grand in their construction, the progression through each area help provide a sense of adventure over the game’s short duration.
