The Walking Dead’s Chandler Riggs reveals enormous Carl Grimes blunder – did you notice?

Carl Grimes (played by Chandler Riggs) isn’t long for this world, as fans are set to see the end of him in The Walking Dead season eight midseason premiere.

He left Michonne (Danai Gurira) and his father Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) devastated when he revealed that he had been bitten by a walker earlier on in the season.

But as Chandler gets closer to the end of his character’s tenure, he has begun to reveal some show secrets.

He recently revealed an unbelievable blunder that has occurred throughout the series so far and admitted he was fully aware of it.

In season six, Carl was shot through his right eye during a gunfight but Chandler has revealed that he has still been using it.

Over various scenes throughout season seven and eight, Chandler has portrayed Carl aiming guns using his missing right eye, eyepatch included.

Chandler has now addressed the mistake and admitted that it is his fault.

Speaking to HuffPost, he said: ”Actually, what we ended up doing, after I got my eye shot out, we ended up switching the holster to my left pant leg.

“I had to retrain my left hand to shoot and aim down.”

Chandler went on to admit that he didn’t get on with the character’s change.

He said: “It felt way too awkward having to put it on my left shoulder and aim down with my left eye.

“By the time I got to it with machine guns and assault rifles and stuff, I just got lazy with it.

“It was super weird, so I was like, you know what, forget continuity. That’s just ridiculous.”

Although viewers won’t blame Chandler for the change, it certainly does look a little suspect once it has been noticed.

These comments come after Lennie James revealed a little too much information about his upcoming story.

Appearing on The One Show, Lennie alluded to the death of his character Morgan.

The Walking Dead airs Monday at 9pm on FOX UK.
