The Voice UK 2018: Paloma Faith remarks spark BACKLASH from winner ‘Check your facts!'

Paloma’s remarks about came in a bombshell interview and former winner Mo Jamil is not happy with her criticism.

Speaking about the difference in long-term success of the show’s contestants, .

“He’s a b****y determined man. He is a high-achiever by nature and he believes that he wouldn’t ever do anything that wasn’t a success.”

The Lullaby hitmaker continued: “He’ll do everything he has to to make it a success, and there’s no one person doing that on The Voice – there’s no one person saying, ‘I am determined to make sure this, you know’.”

Expanding on the claim, she went on: “Everybody else on The Voice has their own personal career whereas Simon’s career is to make other people’s careers. That’s his career.”

Paloma went on to admit that she understood The Voice UK to be a “brief training in the industry”.

Winner Mo quipped that Paloma needs to “check her facts” after she claimed that The Voice UK doesn’t support its artists enough.

Mo said: “I don’t know what happened in past years, but I can say that since I’ve won, everything’s been great for me.”

“I think maybe she should check her facts, as I’ve had support from day one.

“I’ve had a lot of support and a lot of people around me to try and prepare me for this moment.”

The 22-year-old singer continued to Radio Times that he is “always in contact” with his label.

He added: “I’ve had a manager since I came off The Voice and they’ve been very supportive.

“I’m always in contact with my label and I’ve had lots of meetings to help prepare me for this.

“I’m not sure where she got her facts from, but I’m really happy.”

Mo was the sixth winner of The Voice UK after its series finale in April last year.

The singer was mentored by 36-year-old star Jennifer Hudson and is preparing to release his debut album Evolve on March 30.

Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for The Voice UK asking for comment.
