The One Show presenters, Alex Jones and Gethin Jones had invited Hugh Bonneville to join them on a live video link them evening to speak about a special project he was part of. But those watching at home couldn’t believe their eyes as the actor looked incredibly trim.
Alex began: “A couple of great guests to welcome to the show, broadcaster Dame Jenni Murray and actor Hugh Bonneville!”
Taking to Twitter one said: “Hugh Bonneville on #theoneshow That is some transformation M’Lud!”
“Wow, I didn’t recognise Hugh Bonneville on #TheOneShow to start with! What a transformation!” Another wrote.
A third wrote: “@hughbon looks trim. Wouldn’t recognise him. #TheOneShow.”

Hugh also has sevearl television shows he voices over for, from The Cruise for ITV and Wild Britain for Channel 5, as well as several audio books.
He is also partial to a voice over for several children’s characters in the television and film industry.
Elsewhere on The One Show, Alex and Gethin spoke about the things keeping them awake at night.
“When I put my head on the pillow, I just think about everything,” Gethin began.
“But just recently, I’ve been thinking a lot about my parents, because, they just don’t know what date they’ll be able to get back to normal.
“My dad is shielding – he’s vulnerable – and it’s really difficult, there’s no answers,” he continued to reveal.
