While the hosts are usually glued to each other during each episode, Jeremy ventured up a small mountain with the help of a brand new member of the team.
In the latest edition of Survival of the Fattest, Jeremy was tasked with creating a car to get up a mountain.
And in no time Jeremy built a vehicle to venture upwards, and dubbed him John the Mountaineer.
Richard couldn’t contain his excitement as he yelled: “That is a remarkable sight!”
Jeremy then began driving up the mountain – slowly but surely – before the car eventually started hopping on the spot to gain ground.
Unwavering, Jeremy provided some much-needed encouragement for the car as he yelled: “What a machine you are John!”
Against all odds John eventually made his way up the mountain by hopping and bouncing, leaving Jeremy a little shaken up.
However it wasn’t all smooth-sailing for Jeremy as he did hit a little issue during his ascent.
Addressing the camera directly he announced: “John the Mountaineer of many paces has shaken his own brake paddle off – but has made it!”
James couldn’t help but to chime in as well, as he pointed out: “That’s the first car ever to pogo up a hill!”
Fans of the show were utterly elated by the inclusion of John into the show’s cast.
So much so, viewers began speaking out on Twitter, with one writing: “I love John #TheGrandTour.”
Another agreed: “John is Beautiful! #TheGrandTour @thegrandtour.”
Recently Jeremy revealed a secret behind the scenes detail about the Mongolia episode on Twitter.
Speaking to his 7.15 million followers he wrote: “A BTS titbit from our Mongolia show.
“Nearly the whole route was carpeted with sage or thyme so as we drive along – the smell was fabulous [sic].”
He even went on to praise the episode entirely, adding: “Actually, I’ll say it. The Grand Tour Mongolia Special is the best we’ve ever done.
“It really really really is worth watching.”
The Grand Tour season three continues Friday on Amazon Prime Video.
