The Apprentice 2018: What will happen next week in episode 2?

The Apprentice returned for its 2018 season tonight on BBC One.

This week’s episode was followed by a promo for the next instalment.

The episode will air next Wednesday (October 10) at 9pm on BBC One.

Here’s what that promo revealed about what task the candidates will be facing on next week’s Apprentice.

What will happen next week on The Apprentice?

At the beginning of the promo, we see Lord Sugar as an augmented reality cartoon speaking to the 15 remaining candidates.

It says: “For your next task you’ll be designing a brand new comic.”

We then get a glimpse at one of the characters that the boys’ team design for their comic book.

Aspiring actor Kurran Pooni is then seen in the recording studio giving their character a voice.

WHO LEFT THE APPRENTICE LAST NIGHT?

We hear him say, “I can go anywhere with my magic telescope,” while Kayode sits there with his head in his hands in embarrassment.

The girls seem to have another falling out, as we see Khadija Kalifa say to Sabrina Stocker, “How about you do what I just asked you?”

The trailer also shows that David Alden may be in trouble in the next episode.

We see Alex Finn confronting him, saying: “Don’t highlight negative points of your own product, you’re selling it!”

WHO ARE THIS YEAR’S APPRENTICE CANDIDATES?

“Over all of these moments, the voiceover says: “Next time, comic capers, super rivalries and in the boardroom one unhappy ending.”

The trailer then ends with Lord Sugar saying to an unknown candidate: “This was a load of rubbish, absolute garbage.”

He then adds: “You’ve got no business acumen… you’re fired”

The official synopsis for next week’s episode, which is titled Comics, reads: “The candidates are challenged to create a brand-new comic aimed at children, before pitching their ideas to leading industry figures to secure orders.

WHAT TIME DOES THE APPRENTICE START?

“The task balances creative flair with productive pitching and the team that forgets either could face a graphic showdown in the boardroom.

“On the story teams, while one PM takes an assertive lead, the other’s sub team leader seems to lose the plot.

“When creating their Augmented Reality front covers, the girls run riot, while the boys team struggles to make a move.”

The Apprentice continues next Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One
