The Apprentice 2017: Lord Alan Sugar to be replaced by Karren Brady in HUGE shake-up?

The business series is about to start its 13th round of brutal tasks, with Alan, 70, setting out to invest his own £250,000 in one lucky entrepreneur.

With the show rattling on, would Karren, 48, be up for the job?

Speaking to press including Express.co.uk, the business woman replied vehemently: “Absolutely not, that’s Alan’s chair!”

She did admit that she is not seeking a “celebrity” lifestyle, that could come with taking on the lead role.

Karren confessed: “I don’t have any desire to be famous. I’m not the kind of person that does a spread or falls out of a nightclub.

“I’m a serious, hardworking business person and I have a lot of responsibilities and I have a family.

“This is something I do to give me light entertainment from my day job.”

“I have lots of other things in my life. The reason I wanted to be successful in my life is so that I could make my own choices.

“I’ve got to the stage in my career that I don’t have to do something I don’t want to. I think that’s the dream,” she admitted.

The Apprentice airs every Wednesday on BBC One at 9pm.
