Susanna Reid sickened when she finds this REVOLTING object in a family’s bin

Susanna Reid, 46, went through the food waste and was shocked to find peppers in the family bin on tonight’s show on ITV.

The programme aims to show families how to save money by shopping in a smarter way and throwing less way.

Tonight the show visited the Harvey family from Nottingham, comprised of Irene and Sean, six-year-old Remy  and Ellie-Anna who is four.

The families huge portion sizes causes them to cause a lot of food away.

Susanna has a leading role in ITV show Save Money Good Food – unfortunately for her that sees the star having to rummage through rubbish every week.

The show is out to prove just how much food Brits are wasting every week and how much cash could be saved with savvy shopping.

Last week the former Strictly star found pizza crusts, ends of bread and a roast chicken the bin.

She visited a family  that cooked the same five meals in rotation, but despite the rather boring menu they still spend a lot of money on food needlessly.

The Laycock family, consisiting of Paula, Ian and four children Joseph, Ewan, Finley and Kieran, overspends online by repeatedly ordering the same expensive ingredients.

Stir fry chicken, chicken pitas and roast chicken make up most of the family’s meals – and the average evening meals costs £10 for each of the, according to mum Paula.

Earlier in the series Susanna tested out chocolate digestive biscuits – pitting the cheapest brands against one another to find out if splashing the cash really does equal better quality and taste.

The three cheapest chocolate digestives on the market come from Tesco, Aldi and Asda.
