The group attempted to triumph over the quiz show champions and win a cash prize for their chosen charity.
In a tense moment, Iwan, 43, went up against Judith Keppel for the second time to succeed in answering questions on sport.
Feeling confident, the Welsh sprinter nominated himself for the challenge but may have soon appeared to regret the decision.
Iwan failed to answer one out of three of his questions correctly which left Judith in the lead.
As she correctly guessed the answer to the last question, Iwan shouted: “Oh man!”
Frustrated with losing against the 75-year-old once again, he exclaimed: “I’m going home!”
Presenter Jeremy Vine and Judith couldn’t stop laughing at Iwan’s reaction as she relished in beating the sportsman.
Those watching the quiz show also found his strop hilarious as one person wrote on Twitter: “Judith beating Iwan Thomas in sport….again, is one of my favourite #eggheads moments of all time!”
Another amused fan wrote: “Funniest thing I’ve seen on @eggheadsTV in ages. Only Judith Keppel could beat Iwan Thomas on Sport!! Hahaha!”
