The hugely successful Welcome to my Truth singer enjoyed a brief stint on the UK competition partnered alongside Brendan Cole in 2016.
Yet after a tricky Halloween Jive performance Anastacia, 49, became the sixth person voted out of the BBC show following a dance off against Daisy Lowe and professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec.
The star decided to take part in the Italian version’s Dancer for a Night segment in a special one-off segment at the weekend.
The celebrities involved were tasked with trying to compete against each other for judges’ scores, and the American starlet chose a saucy salsa with her partner Maykel Fonts.
Yet as the routine got underway, it became clear that Anastacia’s choice of outfit, which was a thigh-skimming red-hot glittery number, maybe should have been a little bit longer.
Flipping over Maykel’s shoulder, audiences and viewers at home more than glimpsed a flash of the performer’s curvy bottom during one tough lift.
Anastacia didn’t seem to notice that her skimpy dress had shimmied up to her waist as all her concentration was on completing the complicated dance.
While she was wearing flesh-coloured tights and knickers underneath, it didn’t stop a quick flash from hinting that the star wasn’t wearing much at all.
Following her time on the show, the exhausted singer seemed elated as the audience rushed to applaud her.
Later taking to social media to praise her partner, Anastacia wrote to Maykel: “Thank you @maykel_fonts all your hard work and a fun exciting routine.
“When learning to dance it takes a patient, kind, enthusiastic teacher.
“I felt you truly love helping others learn to dance. I wish the best for you and until we meet again my friend #italy #dance #salsa #record #time.”
The star had earlier teased her feelings on the daring performance with another Instagram post.
“Holy sh*t this dance is fast,” she captioned next to an image of her practicing in rehearsals.
Anastacia’s appearance on the BBC Strictly was an emotional one following two particularly tough battles with breast cancer.
The star admitted at the time that she’d signed up in an attempt to gain back her body confidence.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this year.
