Strictly Come Dancing 2017: The Apprentice’s Claude Littner turned DOWN offer – here’s why

The businessman, who became a permanent fixture in the boardroom two years ago, has today revealed that he was asked to take part in Strictly Come Dancing.

However, the brutal interviewer disappointed fans up and down the country by admitting that he won’t be doing the reality show, or any other for that matter.

Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine, Claude commented: “Strictly Come Dancing, they have asked me, but I cannot dance. I’d rather not make a fool of myself.”

The 68-year-old then went on to list the other programmes he had no interest in doing, after rising to fame for the tough time he gave wannabes on The Apprentice.

Claude went on: “MasterChef, I cannot cook. Mastermind I don’t actually know anything. I think all these things should be avoided. I think it’s a good principle to stick to what you’re good at.”

However, while he won’t be strutting his stuff on the dance floor, fans will be able to enjoy his undoubtedly cruel put-downs when The Apprentice begins again tonight.

Meanwhile, his co-star Lord Sugar has said women can narrow the gender pay gap by insisting they want to be paid more.

The 70-year-old said he thinks it is “disgraceful” the BBC was forced to publish the earnings of its top talent earlier this year.

“I don’t think transparency over pay is the correct thing. It’s a private issue and I think it’s disgraceful, actually, that the BBC were forced to publish what people were earning,” he said.

The 13th series of The Apprentice begins on BBC One tonight at 9pm.
