Strictly Come Dancing 2017: Show in 'fix' row as stars fear Susan is being 'rewarded'

According to reports, the comedian’s co-stars have claimed that she is being “rewarded” after she signed up to the nationwide tour.

“The theory is that she’s agreed to the tour, which is a big money-spinner and bosses want her in the show for as long as possible,” an insider alleged.

“Susan is a nice woman and a lot of fun but she’s plainly not among the top dancers.”

Last week, Susan broke down in tears as she scored 27 points with her professional partner Kevin Clifton for their Tango and is yet to face the dreaded dance-off.

“Some of the stronger stars such as Aston Merrygold, weren’t afforded the same treatment despite their talent,” the unknown source told The Sun.

Susan, 43, is set to perform the Paso Doble to Scott & Fran’s Paso Doble from Strictly Ballroom as the stars head to Blackpool this weekend.

Following the news that she had made it to week nine, the star confirmed that she and Kevin would be getting matching “I love Grimsby” tattoos.

When she first began her training for the series, Susan told her 146,000 followers: “If we get to Blackpool I’ve promised @keviclifton that I’ll get ‘I love Grimsby’ tattooed on my foot. Make it so British public. Make it so.”

But speaking on It Takes Two this week, she revealed fans will have to wait until she is eliminated to see her go under the needle.

She told host Zoe Ball: “The last thing you want is an open wound on your foot while you’re dancing.”

airs tonight on BBC One at 6.45pm.
