Holly Willoughby, was quick to praise the 58-year-old for her stunning Paso Doble routine last weekend, telling her: “You were so brave to break away from hold and do your own thing.
“You were so sexy and I saw your knickers!”
However, Debbie threw light on the rumours, telling the 36-year-old mother-of-three and her co-host Phillip Schofield: “This is a Strictly secret… They build the costumes on a leotard base, so that’s what you saw – not my knickers!”
Debbie also slammed any controversy surrounding her appearance on the show after admitting to practising ballet when she was younger.
The star said: “It’s so opposite to anything I’ve ever done with ballet. The thing is, it’s so different to ballroom and latin.
“I danced over 30 years ago – I would describe it as a footballer going to play tennis 30 years later.”
Debbie added that years of pilates and yoga has ensured she has stayed fit and healthy throughout the years, but was quick to praise her Strictly Come Dancing partner Giovanni Pernice for helping her complete the splits.
She gushed: “He is a brilliant teacher. On the first day I could only get down half way with the splits, but he made me stretch every day.”
