Stranger Things season 2: BIG news for fans of show's music ahead of new episodes

The music from the Netflix show helped make it a big talking point when it landed on Netflix last year, and now it can be owned.

The mega 30-track compilation is out very soon – next Friday, October 27; the same day as the new episodes.

It includes a range of classic 1980s hits, and tracks featured in the show itself.

There are nineteen songs and eleven audio clips from the show, an announcement confirmed today.

Stranger Things – Music From The Netflix Original Series will also be released on a special edition 12” vinyl later in the year.

The programme became a cult smash last year, starring Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and Finn Wolfhard.

This year they’ll be joined by the likes of Sean Astin, Dacre Montgomery, Paul Reiser and Sadie Sink.

Bobbie Brown, who has become the breakout star, recently spoke in an interview about the risks of being a teenage star.

“I don’t know if I’ll keep doing [acting] or go off to college but all of us enjoy going on set every day.

“We’re not looking for longevity, we’re looking for the fun of it.”
