Star Wars 8 The Last Jedi ‘Snoke definitely NOT a Sith’ confirms Andy Serkis – What is he?

The mystery of Supreme Leader Snoke’s true identity continues to puzzle fans, but now the actor who plays the villain has given some more clues.

Speaking with EMPIRE, The Last Jedi star said: “He’s definitely not a Sith, but he’s certainly at the darker end of the Force.

“Without giving too much away, that begins to unfold a little in this one.”

If not a Sith then who or what is Supreme Leader Snoke?

One major theory suggest Snoke is a fallen Whill – a semi-divine immortal creature of the Force that has “fallen” to the mortal plane of existence.

This would explain how he seems to feel from the force, sustaining his life by draining it from others. His height, gold robes and facial structure also resemble the Whills shown in the Star Wars Rebels animated series.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released in UK cinemas on December 14, 2017.
