While filming wrapped last year, there are some reshoots needed on Star Wars The Last Jedi.
However with so much expectation riding on the sci-fi sequel, should fans be worried?
Star Wars expert Mike Zeroh, who has a source at Pinewood Studios, says reshoots are due to commence at the start of July.
In his new YouTube video, he reassured concerned fans: “I just want all of you to know that there is nothing to worry [about].”
He continued: “Reshoots are not going to be major. They are mostly going to be for cockpit shots.
“I know there was a big scare last year when it came to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which they did do reshoots [for] back in June of 2016.
“There were a lot of…mix ups when it came to the Rogue One reshoots because everyone thought fifty per cent of the film was being redone.”
“[But] that wasn’t the case, it ended up being like ten per cent. In this case it’s just going to be a couple of cock pit shots and space battles and other environmental shots that they will be changing in The Last Jedi over at Pinewood Studios. So the reshoots shouldn’t be too major.”
The Weekly Planet Podcast said: “There are a number of reshoots for the film,” they told their 38,000 YouTube subscribers.
“The scripts are very funny but the action set pieces and acting are thought to be weak by [Star Wars producer] Kathleen Kennedy.”
Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi is released in UK cinemas on December 14, 2017.
