One of the most shocking scenes in the full trailer for Star Wars The Last Jedi came at the end.
Snoke was shown Force choking Rey in his throne room on The Supremacy.
But now the latest TV spot depicts an extended version of the shot, with the Force Order Supreme Leader shown closing his eyes.
Having evaluated the footage, Star Wars theorist Mike Zeroh reckons Snoke is in fact remorseful when torturing Rey.
Speaking in his new YouTube video, he says: “When Supreme Leader Snoke says, ‘Fulfil your destiny’, now it’s an extended sequence of him looking down and closing his eyes.
“[It’s] as if he’s in a state of remorse.
“As if he made a bad decision or doesn’t want to go through with a certain decision. That’s what I’m getting from this.”
What could be going through Snoke’s mind? Could he be upset that Rey isn’t willingly turning to the Dark Side?
Of course Snoke could just be closing his eyes to focus on his Force choke, but less than a month until we find out for sure.
Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi will be released in UK cinemas on December 14, 2017.
