Hopes were dashed when early rumours had suggested that Finn and Poe will be kept apart in The Last Jedi.
A new Japanese promotional poster, however, has very clearly revealed that the handsome pair will be back together and also what they will be up to.

The glossy promo flyer has been discovered and translated by MakingStarWars.Net. It says: “Kylo Ren’s mother, the leader of the Resistance, Leia, Poe, Finn, and BB-8, will embark on a new mission!”
This seems to be unequivacable proof that the First Order deserter and Resistance pilot will be back together and fanning the flames of fan fiction once more.
The Force Awakens director JJ Abrams has already declared that there will be gay characters in upcoming Star Wars movies.
Meanwhile, Poe actor Oscar Isaacs admitted that he was already “playing a gay romance” in his early scenes with John Boyega’s Finn.
Previous reports and leaks have indicated that Finn will be infiltrating a First Order starship with new character Rose. At the same time, Poe and BB8 are sent on a mission to the casino planet Canto Bight where they are expected to meet Benicio del Toro’s mysterious character.
