Star Wars 8 leaks: This HUGE Last Jedi scene ‘will blow your mind’, Mark Hamill reveals

Episode 8 is due in cinemas in just three months’ time, and Hamill has spilled further details on a much-hyped set-piece on the new terrain of Canto Bight.

“There’s a scene in Episode 8 – it’ll blow your mind,” he told GQ.

“I went on that set and I don’t think I’ve ever been on a set that opulent in my life.”

Does this mean Luke Skywalker is one of the characters who’ll venture to the planet?

The star went on: “There were 150 extras, wardrobe, make-up, prosthetics, puppets… I’m not giving anything away because Rian [Johnson] talked about a casino and that’s what this is.

“It was just breathtaking and you thought, ‘gee, this set alone could probably finance 30 low-budget features’.”

The latest chapter in the Star Wars saga is expected to throw up a string of surprises, aside from new territory.

Fans are bracing for several shocking plot twists – which director Rian Johnson has promised will have strong emotional context.

”There are things that will shock the audience but you don’t want an empty surprise for the sake of it being a surprise,” he said at a fan event.

“You want it to be an emotional story that makes sense that surprising things happen naturally in.

“So I hope those are the kind of things that will make audiences gasp when they see this movie.”

The Last Jedi is out on December 14 in the UK.
