We’ve had plenty of recent spy shots of the redesigned Mercedes G-Class, including views of the inside. But while our spy photographer was grabbing our first look at the next GLS-Class, he caught another glimpse of the G-Wagen as well.
It now has correct headlights and taillights. They’re LED, natch. And the AMG version’s covered grille leads to the reasonable assumption that it will get the same Panamericana grille as other AMG models are getting.
The new G-Class is expected to be built for Mercedes by Canadian automotive giant Magna at its plant in Graz, Austria, same as the current version. And the old G-Class might continue to be built alongside the new one for a while as a “simpler” offering. Not to mention smaller, as the new version is supposed to be bigger, with a track that’s wider by four inches.
